Please note that, for the time being, due to limited funds for grantmaking and a desire to consolidate our work with existing partners we are accepting applications for grants by invitation only (January 2012).
Applicants should first submit a preliminary letter of intent of no more than three pages by e-mail to info@globalfundcf.org. We will then determine basic eligibility and will be ready to provide technical advice on the proposed activities. The letter of intent should include:
- contact information
- mission, primary activities and annual budget of the organisation
- details of the area and population served (for a community foundation) or of the area and organizations served (for a support organization)
- description and rationale for proposed grant-funded activities and anticipated outcomes
- grant amount requested
- timing/duration of the proposed activity
If the letter of intent satisfies our criteria, we will send applicants an application form for completion. Letters of intent can be sent in English, French, Spanish and Russian, but we currently accept final applications only in English.
