Grants awarded

General

We make grants to a range of community foundations grassroots grantmakers, philanthropy support organizations and local associations. Since we started making grants in 2006 we have awarded US$2.6 million in grants to 146 organizations in 48 countries.

Recent grants

In 2012, we have continued to make grants under our Youth Civic Engagement programme (with support from the Mott Foundation), our Africa programme (with support from TrustAfrica) and our Asia programme (support from an anonymous donor). We have made one grant under pilot programme focused on community foundations and the environment.

In 2011, we made grants in the area of Youth Civic Engagement (marked on the map with blue flags) and a one-off grant for Haiti. We also made five grants under a new programme to support community philanthropy development in Asia (see the yellow flags on the map).
